Jawan (also spelled Soldier) is an Indian Hindi-language action thriller film that was released in 2023. Atlee, making his debut in the Hindi cinema industry, co-wrote and directed the film. Red Chillies Entertainment is the production company, and Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma are the producers. In the movie, Shah Rukh Khan plays two characters: a father and son who work together to fight the pervasive problem of corruption in society. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi are the five actors who play supporting roles in the film. Deepika Padukone is listed as making a “special appearance” in the film.

The production’s principal photography began in September 2021, and it was shot in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad, among other Indian cities. Jawan Movie Plot

Azad, the warden of a women’s prison in Mumbai, is one of the individuals who board a Mumbai Metro train and take control of it together with a group of six female inmates named Lakshmi, Eeram, Ishkra, Kalki, and Janhvi. In order to save the lives of the passengers, Azad engages in negotiations with the NSG officer Narmada Rai to obtain a payment of 400 billion rupees from the Agriculture Minister. Kalee Gaikwad, a global arms dealer, finds out that his daughter Alia is one of the captives, and he decides to pay the deal despite this information. When Alia questions their intentions, Azad announces his plan to donate the money towards the loan waiver of 700,000 needy farmers throughout the country. Alia questions why they would do such a thing. After making their getaway from the subway, Azad and his cohorts make a direct deposit of the money into the farmers’ bank accounts. Kalee learns that Azad’s real name is Vikram Rathore through Alia’s intermediary.

In the meantime, Azad comes into contact with Narmada and her daughter Suchi, and the three of them end up getting married. The next target of Azad and his group’s hostage-taking is the Health Minister. In exchange for the Health Minister’s life, Azad and his gang demand that improved infrastructure be installed in each and every government hospital. Following the gunfight between Narmada and her squad, the infrastructure in the hospitals is instantly upgraded, which makes it possible for Azad and his gang to flee once more. Narmada discovers Azad’s true identity not long after the wedding, and she attempts to confront him about it. However, Kalee’s brother Manish and his thugs take both of them hostage and torture them. But Azad is rescued by his doppelganger, Vikram Rathore, just in the nick of time. Narmada discovers the identity of Azad’s co-conspirators and confronts them by disguising herself as an inmate. It is during this confrontation that she discovers the connection between Azad and Vikram.

Captain Vikram Rathore, a commando serving in the Special Operations unit of the Indian Army in 1986, embarked on a mission to track down the terrorist organization that was responsible for the attack that resulted in the deaths of 40 Indian soldiers. Vikram and his crew were successful in eliminating the terrorists, but not before suffering multiple casualties that were the result of faulty armament. They then filed a complaint against Kalee, who was the provider of the weapons, for their failures. He attempted to strike a bargain with Vikram, but his efforts were fruitless, and the very same night, he and his wife, Aishwarya, were assaulted by Kalee and one of his henchmen, Murad. Vikram appeared to have been killed when Kalee took him on board a plane and pretended to shoot him. Aishwarya received a prison sentence for the murder of three police officers who worked for Kalee and were paid by him. After that, Vikram was labeled a national traitor, and Aishwarya had to give birth to their son, Azad, inside of a correctional facility. Before she was executed, Aishwarya urged Azad, who had just turned five at the time, to demonstrate his father’s innocence and bring justice to those who were being mistreated. Vikram managed to survive the assault, but he has no recall of what happened next. He was discovered and saved by a tribal group in the northeastern part of India, and he was rehabilitated in their community after his ordeal.

Back in the present, Irani, a subordinate of Narmada’s, is exposed as being on Kalee’s payroll when he attempts to kill Narmada and the other prisoners in the jail. As a result of the ensuing chaos, Lakshmi loses her life. As Azad arrived to the prison, a stampede ensued, which resulted in Irani’s death. Vikram, Azad, and their squad launch an assault on Kalee’s trucks, which are carrying election funds that will be used to further Kalee’s political aspirations. While Vikram and the rest of his squad are taken captive by Kalee’s goons, Azad and his team are successful in stealing the trucks. Azad publishes a new video in which he claims to have stolen voting machines and calls for the nation’s 253 polluting companies to be shut down permanently. He also demands that the country’s water and air quality be improved. The factories have been off-limits since the authorities took action. Vikram eventually regains his memories and assists Azad in the conflict that ensues after Kalee discovers Azad’s location inside the women’s prison. Kalee is ultimately put to death by being hung from the prison’s ceiling. A few months later, STF officer Madhavan Naik, who had assisted Azad in the accomplishment of his previous operations, gives Azad a new assignment focusing on Swiss banks to complete.
